According to research, 40 million Americans suffer from anxiety, which has perhaps increased more as a result of the pandemic & other social crisis. Sadly, only 37% of people actually seek help and try to overcome it.

So today we will show you:

You see, anxiety kills dreams. Anxiety is believed to make a huge impact on an individual as it takes away happiness. It takes away joy. It makes you feel smaller than you really are. It kills without you knowing.

That's why living with anxiety is not an option 🙅

Here we bring to you 7 Practical tips to overcome anxiety, So, you can go about building the life you want.

1. Exercise regularly:


Exercise is an awesome way to sweat and let go of all your worries.

Whenever you feel like your head is thinking bullshit and making you nervous, Grab a mat, put on your favorite music and dance or do some yoga.


Moving your body is a great way to silence your anxious brain and live in the present moment.

2. Minimize phone use and screen time:

In this digital era we spend more time on the phone than sleeping. We are constantly interacting with the fast, depressing outside world and that takes a toll on your mind. So minimize phone use and screen time. 

According to a survey by the American Psychological Association, almost 20% of Americans identify the use of smartphones as a basis of stress. 

So, take breaks from the screen. It goes a long way in reducing stress. 

Read a book or talk to people. You need real time human interaction to feel connected and safe in your real world.

3. To reduce anxiety; Live Mindfully

Mindfulness is about paying attention to your daily life. Look at the sun, feel the warmth. Pay attention to voices around you.




Notice the things you typically rush through. Turn down the volume in your mind by coming back to the breath and body.

4. Seek help and reach out:

If there is one thing that is most important to deal with anxiety, it is to seek help from professionals.

  1. Visit a therapist
  2. Take medications.
  3. Try Neuro-Linguistic Programming
  4. You see therapy takes time while pills can have side effects. But NLP ( Neuro-Linguistic programming) is quick and has no side effects. So, to deal with anxiety or any big emotions try using NLP. It will change your thoughts pattern at a deeper level.FYI: Neuro-linguistic programming is a way of changing someone's thoughts and behaviors to help achieve desired outcomes for them

5. Eat healthy

Your diet affects every aspect of your health, including your mental health. Studies show that people who follow a diet high in ultra-processed foods and added sugar are more likely to experience higher perceived stress levels.


So yes! Eating right and eating healthy improves your ability to focus and leads to fewer mood fluctuations. Stay hydrated and eat healthy as it improves your lifestyle.

6. Practice self-care

To remove your anxiety, help your brain feel loved and secure. Put aside time to practice self-care. It will help build confidence & reduce your stress levels.

Practical examples include:

  • Take yourself out on a date
  • Taking a long bath
  • light some candles
  • read a good book 

7.  Listen to good music, Watch soulful tv shows:

Last but not least, whenever you feel anxious, take out your headphones and play your favorite artist. There is no denial in the fact that good music can immediately put you in a good mood right?

Also once in a while, watch some heartwarming Light hearted show or movie like Cinderella and the four knights. 

Let your mind slip into something refreshing and heart-melting. It will not only reduce your anxiety but maybe give you some food for thoughts.

In short, Anxiety keeps many of us stuck. And that is not the way to live our lives. So use these tips and live a life you always dreamed of.
